When I started this candle business back in 2019, I wanted it to be more than just about beautiful fragrances and sustainable living—it had to feel personal. And what could be more personal than involving my son, Finn, in something I love?
At just 14 years old, Finn has an incredible nose for fragrance. From day one, he’s been my go-to for testing new blends and creating scent combinations that truly resonate. It’s only fitting that his influence is woven into the very DNA of our brand—and especially during Christmas, when the magic of scent comes alive.
How Finn Inspires Our Christmas Scents
Christmas is Finn’s favourite time of year, and his enthusiasm sparks so much of our creativity. Together, we brainstorm the feelings we want our candles to evoke: the warmth of a crackling fire, the sweetness of baking, or the crispness of a snowy morning walk. Then, we experiment with fragrance oils, layering notes until we land on something that feels just right.
Take, for example, one of our most-loved Christmas blends. Finn insisted on combining spicy cinnamon with the zesty brightness of orange peel because it reminded him of the mulled wine we always make on Christmas Eve. And I couldn’t resist adding a touch of clove and vanilla for extra cosyness. The result? A scent that feels like a hug in candle form.
