Private/White Label

We make candles for a variety of brands, filling the gap between small artisan makers and the larger contract manufacturers with MOQ’s of 1000 units or more.  We have a studio in Shepperton, Surrey where we make around 300 candles a week on average for our own brand, and others.  Our MOQ is low, and we have close partnerships with digital designers, CLP compliance testers and printers.

Our prices start from as low as £3.60 per unit ex VAT for a 60ml candle, and around £8-11 ex VAT for a 30cl candle.

Here’s what we get asked the most:

What wax do we use?

We use soy wax, and we never use paraffin.  Our refill candles are made from an olive and soy wax blend.

What vessels can we use?

We can offer a variety of vessels in a number of sizes, and can recommend bespoke printing services, as well as help with label design if needed. We can also make tealights, diffusers and wax melts.

Or we are happy to use any vessel you provide, as long as it meets our safety standards. If you'd like to see samples of these, let us know. Our 200ml candles have a 40 hour burn time. To get the longest life out of your candles, be sure to trim your wick! We suggest trimming wicks before each use. For vessels you supply, we charge a flat testing fee per vessel, per fragrance £35 ex VAT.

Can you offer vessel printing?

Yes, we work with printers who can produce high quality print on vessels both digitally and via traditional screen printing. See image below of D’oyly Carte Island candle and our own candles for examples of digital printing.

How much does a candle cost?

Prices start from around £3.90 ex VAT per 90ml candle, depending on vessel cost. We need a minimum of 12 units per fragrance, and a total MOQ of at least 50 units.

What fragrances do you have?

We have several fragrances to choose from across a broad range of scent families including essential oils. We’re happy to send you a sample box, get in touch for more information.

How do we choose a scent?

You can schedule a scent story studio session to find a fragrance that works for you. In that session we offer 10 scent samples for you to choose once you complete our fragrance briefing form which we send to you on confirmation of your session.

Scent sessions are £75 ex VAT to cover studio time and oil costs.

Or we can recommend scents for you from a variety of sources.

Email us at nicola@willowandfinn.co.uk with the scents you would like to sample and what vessel you would like to sample them in.

Sample Costs: Tea Light: £1 Jar Candle: £9.00 Wax Melt Bar: £4.00

Can we create a bespoke scent?

Yes absolutely.  The process is a little longer, and slightly more complex. But we can offer a bespoke scent package including scent discovery, testing and compliance for £250 ex VAT.

Recent customer projects:

Radish Marketing

We worked closely with Radish to create a scent perfect for their corporate event, and leveraged our packaging contacts to do a quick turn around of high quality box. An essential oil scent for peace after a long working day was just the ticket.

”Nicola really went out of her way to help us with a very tricky request for a small batch of branded white label candles for a client event with a less than two week lead time.

From finding last minute print solutions to hand delivering the final products, she did everything she could to make sure it all went smoothly. We were so impressed with the final candles, they were everything we could have hoped for - such a unique giveaway and they really got people talking, which is exactly what we wanted!” Elspeth, Radish Marketing

D’oyly Carte Island

A candle inspired by heritage, nature, and local craftsmanship. We worked closely with the owners of D’oyly Carte Island and Wellbeing At D’oyly Carte to create a scent, and packaging that reflects the islands steep history and the peacefulness of its island retreats.

The fragrance captures the island’s essence:wild greenery, gentle florals, and the soft flow of river air. Refined, nostalgic, and grounding. And an island guided meditation from IO Project completed the offering.

“We couldn’t recommend working with Willow and Finn enough, from start to finish our journey to creating our own bespoke candle has been amazing. The end result is a candle and scent that’s perfect for our venue.”
Sam, Wellbeing at D’oyle Carte Island
